A veneer is a custom made new surface which fits on front of the tooth. It is usually made from porcelain; gold veneers are also an option. Veneers can be use to close gaps, to change and harmonize teeth colour and to correct the crowded or protruding teeth.
Their strength and appearance is very similar to the natural tooth and they are used to make long lasting changes to the smile.
Tooth whitening or dental bleaching.
The origin of the discoloration can be either from inside of the tooth or outside. Tooth whitening can be used to eliminate the discoloration from outside of the tooth especially if this discoloration is coming from coffee, red wine, smoking and spicy meals.Tooth whitening can be done at home (home bleach) or it can be carried out in the practice. The best result is the combination of these two
and using the home kit from time to time for maintenance.
We now using the ZOOM! tooth whitening system for our patients who are interested in an immediate and longer lasting results. This procedure takes around 45-60 minutes at the practice and your teeth can be 8 shades whiter.
